George Ritchie - Managing Director

Worked for British Gas for 27 years between 1970-1997 when due to the privatisation of the company he accepted voluntary redundancy.

During George's time with British Gas he worked within Customer Accounting for the entire period.

Progressing through from a Meter Reader to a Representative to an Operations Manager, Debt Collection Field Staff, Debt Control Manager and finally Customer Accounting Manager within North Thames, with the responsibility for 280 staff.

Prior to the end of his career with British Gas he was one of 4 staff selected within the British Gas, for the formation of the British Gas, Centrica, at Hattersley. Involved in the recruitment of operational staff and locksmiths for nationwide coverage.

George then moved to the Business Gas Headquarters in Leicester for the formation of their Debt Collection Policy and Procedures.

During his career with British Gas he was the Ofgas representative for the company and Gas Consumer Council representative, both in London, together with the representative for the Inner London Magistrates Court Services.

On leaving the company he joined Telewest Communications at their Woking office as Group Billing Manager for the whole company.

On leaving there in 1998 George formed Richburns Ltd.


 
 

 

Cathy Cutts - Office Manager

Worked for British Gas in the Customer Accounting Department for 17 years from 1979-1996, when due to privatisation of the company accepted voluntary redundancy. During Cathy's time at British Gas she worked in almost every department as either a member of staff, Field Representative, Insolvency Officer, Supervisor and finally as a Manager.

Her role as Office Manager is to manage teams with supervisors, for various clients and deal with the day to day running of the office.

 

 
    Bernadette Davis - HR Manager

Bernadette worked for British Gas in the Customer Accounting Department for 17 years from 1978 to 1995 when due to privatisation of the company she accepted voluntary redundancy. During her time with British Gas Bernadette worked within the Debt Collection department for many years as a clerk and then as a supervisor.

In the role of HR Manager, Bernadette, with a team of 4 will manage all HR issues for staff and field representatives together with the general administration of the company.



 
    Steve Groves - Client Manager

Worked for British Gas for 32 years from 1966 – 1998.

During Steve’s time with British Gas he worked for the majority of time in Customer Accounting as an Enforcement Officer and a Billing Manager and then in the Customer Service Centres as a Customer Enquiry Manager.

Following a major re-organisation of the gas industry in 1995 Steve was transferred to Transco and was employed as a Manager within the Emergency Call Centre at Brentwood in Essex.

Steve’s current role is as Client Manager of EDF Energy, Scottish and Southern Energy and nPower.

 
  Danny  

Danny Bresnihan - Client Manager

Danny has recently joint Richburns, on leaving British Gas after 36 years service. His career began as an apprentice Gas Engineer with British Gas, and having qualified, remained as an Engineer for 5 years before becoming a Debt Collector with the company.

He progressed to hold a number of positions within British Gas, the majority of his time spent within Metering and Debt.

Latterly, Danny was a Court Officer representing the company is County Court, an Area Manager in London within Customer Accounts, and finally, a Field Delivery Manager, managing operational staff for British Gas's Debt Recovery Services.

Danny's current role is as Client Manager of Scottish Power, Powergen and British Gas.

To quote from Danny on his new role;

"I am certainly looking forward to the challenge of Client Manager, and believe that the experience I have within the Debt and Metering Operations will be of benefit to meeting the expectations of our clients."
